For the first time, friends and people close to Konstantin share their views on what happened, revealing intimate details of his story and the contradictions surrounding his trial.
In April 2025, 58-year-old Konstantin Rudnev was arrested in the city of Bariloche, Argentina. For the Russian authorities—and now also the Argentine authorities—he is a "dangerous sectarian leader." For those who truly know him, however, he is an independent thinker, a spiritual seeker who has never harmed anyone, whose only "sin" was to speak of inner freedom and truth.
From searcher to enemy of the system
From childhood, he showed an unusual interest in the great mysteries of life. In his youth, he began to gather people interested in meditation and self-knowledge. His ideas inspired many, but also aroused the hostility of a system that rejects any dissenting voice.
In Russia, the media machine turned him into a monster in the eyes of the public: they labeled him a false guru, a tyrant, and even a sex offender, all without conclusive evidence. In 2010, he was arrested in a spectacular police operation. The accusations were serious, but no solid evidence was ever presented: the alleged drugs seized did not contain his DNA or any traces of consumption, and the testimonies of the "victims" contradicted each other. Despite everything, he was sentenced to eleven years in prison in a trial riddled with irregularities, whose objective seemed to be to silence him.

A previously unreleased video is now available in which his loved ones reveal what was hidden for years. Watch it and discover the truth that the media never told: Watch on YouTube
Exile and new persecutions
After surviving a Siberian prison and with his health deteriorating, Rudnev left Russia. He passed through Montenegro and then Argentina, but everywhere he went he was haunted by the shadow of the slander repeated by the press. In March 2025, he was arrested again in Bariloche on charges that also do not hold up. Even the woman whom the prosecution presented as the alleged victim denied any connection to him and publicly denounced pressure from the authorities. Even so, he remains in custody.
A sick man turned hostage
Today, approaching 60 years of age, he faces chronic illnesses and needs medical attention. Instead of receiving treatment, he is locked up in a cell, enduring the burden of a smear campaign. His story does not reflect that of a criminal, but rather that of a man who has become a hostage to systems that prefer to destroy those who think differently rather than acknowledge their innocence.
Beyond the individual case
The case of Konstantin Rudnev has become symbolic: it shows how the truth can be manipulated and how justice, instead of protecting, can become a weapon of persecution. Remembering him is not only defending one person, but everyone's right to live and think freely.
