Shocking details of arbitrariness

Muscovite, 41 years old

On March 28, 2025, at Bariloche airport, something happened to me that I can only describe as the script of an absurd thriller, directed by the Argentine prosecutor's office.

The absurd and violent arrest

Imagine this: you're standing next to the baggage carousel, talking to a friend on the phone. Suddenly, some police officers approach you and, without saying a word, start to rip the device out of your hands. Since the phone was hanging around my neck, the brave guardians of law and order decided to take it away by choking me. Yes, they literally began to strangle me at the scene of the "crime," where my most serious offense had been to buy a ticket. No reasons, no rights, no explanations, just chaotic aggression.

Then came the worst part. They put me in a corner, like a punished schoolgirl, took my phone away, and started shouting something in Spanish. I didn't understand a word. My attempt to explain this led to them twisting my arms, pressing my face against the wall, and handcuffing me. All this under the flashes of the passengers' cameras, who were recording my humiliation on their cell phones. The police not only failed to stop it, but encouraged the mob. I felt like a caged animal, exposed to ridicule.

But that was only the first act of the absurd comedy. The real "magic" happened during the search. The police took $7,750 and 180,000 pesos out of my fanny pack, and within minutes that money... disappeared! Officially, it "never existed." They left me in a foreign country without a penny, taking all my savings for the trip. They robbed me. In the most brazen way.

24 hours of psychological and physical torture

The next 24 hours were hell. They forced me to stand against the wall, then kneel on the cold tile floor. They gave me a couple of cookies a day, with no hot water. It wasn't detention, it was torture intended to break my will. Everything was recorded in a language I didn't understand; they forced me to sign documents blindly. My status as a lawyer meant nothing: abuse reigned supreme there.

Brutal isolation

The climax of the madness was a solitary cell the size of a step, with no possibility of washing myself, where they threw me for three days. Being able to go out into the hallway for 30 minutes seemed like an unheard-of privilege. And when they took me to court, the same police officers ripped off my hood, exposing me to the journalists' cameras. Not only were they breaking the law, they were mocking me.
And do you know what was the most monstrous thing? I spent a week in that nightmare and then they released me, realizing the absurdity of the accusations.
My story is just one episode that shows how far the most corrupt state machinery can go to silence those who are inconvenient.

The weight on Konstantin Rudnev

But the heaviest burden fell on the shoulders of one man: Konstantin Rudnev. And while I had the opportunity to tell what happened, he has already spent half a year on the other side of freedom, in a cell where neither sunlight nor justice penetrates. He is being held in conditions where the very concept of "evidence" has been erased from the dictionary. This case is a fabricated mirage, a building constructed on the sand of lies.

I appeal to the world with a plea that comes from the heart: that justice prevail and freedom be restored to all those involved in this process. Especially you, Konstantin. You must be free.
Konstantin Rudnev is innocent: he must be acquitted and released immediately.
Don't stand on the sidelines. Help secure Konstantin's freedom. His courage deserves our shared compassion and support.

If you would like to hear the opinions of Konstantin's family members or ask them a question, please write to us. We are open to dialogue and comments.

His health deteriorates while injustice continues to advance.

But you can make a difference.

Your support can help Konstantin regain his freedom and return to his family.

If we all raise our voices, Konstantin will be able to receive help and return to his life.
If you have contacts in Argentina or any way to influence this situation, please help us.
