Ritual in Mexico and international protests demand the release of Konstantin Rudnev

Ritual in Mexico and international protests demand the release of Konstantin Rudnev
In Cholula, Puebla, spiritual communities, artists, and citizens came together in a symbolic and ritualistic act in support of Russian spiritual leader Konstantin Rudnev, currently detained in Argentina. The demonstration combined ancestral elements of Mexican culture with expressions of international solidarity and social activism.
In the Plaza de la Concordia, a historic and emblematic space in Cholula, hundreds of people gathered to participate in a ritual led by a local shaman, representative of the region's ancestral tradition. The atmosphere was charged with symbolism: copal smoke filled the air, while the sounds of the conch shell and the ayacaxtli set the rhythm for the songs and prayers. Every gesture, every offering had a specific meaning, designed to attract positive energies and open channels of justice and freedom for Konstantin Rudnev.
The shaman, speaking on behalf of the Cholula dance community, asked the "great spirit" and the Argentine prosecutor responsible for the case to "open his heart and act justly." During his speech, he emphasized that Rudnev has dedicated his entire life to spiritual healing, knowledge, and teaching values that seek to unite the communities of Siberia and Latin America. The offerings included copal, a sacred incense used for purification and protection; the touch of the conch shell, a symbol of communication between the human and spiritual worlds; and the ayacaxtli, an instrument that enhances the energetic resonance and concentration of the community during the ritual.
The ritual was not only a spiritual act, but also a manifestation of community support and international solidarity, seeking to send a clear message that Rudnev's detention is perceived by many as unjust. Participants affirmed that these ancestral practices not only seek spiritual intervention, but also to draw the attention of authorities and the international public to a case that has generated concern in various cultural and human rights sectors.

Protests and social support

At the same time, a group of protesters gathered in the square with banners, flags, and messages of solidarity. Among those in attendance were local artists, members of cultural collectives, students, and citizens interested in defending human rights. The protest combined cultural expressions, music, traditional dances, and speeches aimed at raising awareness about Rudnev's detention and the need for justice. Part of the demonstrations was recorded on video, where the magnitude of the support and energy of the event can be seen:

“Why should a sick person be in prison?” said Alexa González, one of the participants. “We must demand with all our strength that Konstantin Rudnev be set free.” Other protesters added that the arrest of a spiritual leader who promotes healing and cultural education affects not only him, but all the communities that depend on his guidance and teaching.

According to the participants, the collective rituals performed during the protest were intended to restore balance and positive energy in the region and transmit strength to Rudnev in Argentina. The combination of music, dance, and prayer became a symbol of cultural and spiritual resistance, showing that tradition and citizen mobilization can be articulated to demand justice and respect for fundamental rights.

International impact and solidarity

The event in Cholula is not limited to a local gesture. The organizers called on the international community, urging citizens, the media, and human rights organizations to raise awareness of Rudnev's situation. They pointed out that this is a case involving principles of justice, freedom of thought, and universal human rights, and that global attention could influence the judicial review of the case.

International impact and solidarity

Likewise, during the ceremony and demonstrations in Cholula, participants drafted a petition addressed to Argentine prosecutor Fernando Arrigo, requesting an urgent review of the case and the immediate release of Konstantin Rudnev. The document, backed by representatives of spiritual communities in Mexico, artists, activists, and citizens from various countries, was officially sent to the prosecutor's office in Argentina, with copies sent to international human rights organizations. The signatories emphasized that "the deprivation of liberty of a spiritual leader who has dedicated his life to teaching and healing cannot be justified under any pretext", and urged the Argentine authorities to guarantee a fair and transparent trial.

"We are a people of struggle," said a spokesperson during the ceremony, "and we believe that the energy of Cholula can cross borders and help our brother achieve freedom." This message reflects the hope that social pressure and global publicity surrounding the case will have a positive effect on the authorities' decisions.

In addition, experts in anthropology and human rights have highlighted that combining ancestral rituals with contemporary mobilizations strengthens the visibility of court cases and raises public awareness of perceived injustices. The activity in Cholula exemplifies how culture, spirituality, and citizen mobilization can converge to demand justice and defend universal values, and how collective action can overcome geographical and cultural barriers.

The cultural and spiritual significance

The ritual performed in Cholula highlights the importance of tradition and spirituality as tools for peaceful resistance. In the local worldview, copal, the sounds of the conch shell, and the ayacaxtli are not only ceremonial elements, but also channels that connect human intention with the spiritual realm, enhancing the power of prayers and the energy of the community. This type of practice reflects a vision of justice that combines ethics, culture, and spirituality, demonstrating that the struggle for freedom can be expressed through symbolic and collective means.

The day ended with a unanimous and emotional message from everyone present: "Freedom for Konstantin!", summarizing the unity of those who defend the spiritual leader's release. The event showed that tradition, spirituality, and international solidarity can converge to demand justice and protect fundamental rights, highlighting that collective action can amplify the voice of the oppressed and generate an impact beyond the local level.
